LGBTQ+ Inclusion
We welcome, embrace, and affirm LGBTQI+ people as full members of our church community. Whether you are exploring faith for the first time or have been part of the Church for many years, you are welcome here exactly as you are.
Like anyone who joins our church, we would encourage you to serve and lead according to your gifts and calling. We are blessed to have LGBTQ+ individuals and couples who serve lead and contribute in worship, leadership, as PCC members, in pastoral ministry, and across the life of our churches.
Sadly, The Church of England does not currently permit same-sex marriages to be conducted in church, and so we are unable to offer these services. We recognise that this can be painful and disappointing. But don't let this stop you getting in touch to find out how we can help you mark these important life moments.
Neurodiversity
We recognise that people experience and engage with the world in different ways. We want our churches to be places where people can participate, belong, and flourish without feeling they need to hide or change who they are. We are committed to learning how we can make our worship, groups, and activities more accessible and supportive for people with different needs and experiences.
Racial Justice
We believe that God's kingdom embraces people of every culture, ethnicity, and nation. We celebrate the diversity of our community and are committed to opposing racism in all its forms.
We want our churches to be places where people of all racial and cultural backgrounds are welcomed, respected, and able to contribute fully. We recognise that the Church has not always lived up to this calling, and we are committed to listening, learning, and pursuing greater justice, understanding, and inclusion.
