Whoever you are, whatever you believe, there is a place for you here. We are a new church in Charlton, a community that is exploring what it means to follow Jesus in our time, in our community, and in our lives.

St Richard's is a building but more than that is a group of people who gather to worship, pray, explore, and ask questions. 

We are inspired by creative arts and use them to explore our place in the great story of God and humanity as we enjoy the journey of understanding more about God, loving people courageously and cultivating beauty in at world that needs it.

We live in a word of beauty and of pain, of hope and also despair, full of potential but deeply  frustrated by greed, war, consumption and selfishness. 

We believe that Jesus invites us all to live differently in this world, to live in peace with each other, with God, with ourselves, and with the earth. 

We are a collection of local people, small but diverse. We welcome, embrace, and affirm every person without discrimination. We are all created in God’s image and all have a part to play, whoever we are and however God made us. Our desire is to be an inclusive church in Charlton where anyone can find a place to belong.
